Doctor in Art History from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2000). Adjunct Professor in the Department of Art History of the Universitat de Barcelona since 2008 where she was previously an Associate Professor (1996-2004) and as a Lecturer (2004-2008). Previously, she was a docent at the Escola Superior de Disseny Elisava (1992-2001) and an Associate Professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (1992-1993 and 1995-1996).

From the beginning, her research has focused on Catalonian art of the modern era with a special emphasis on the context of religious architecture. This interest gave rise to her doctoral thesis on the planner father Josep de la Concepció and an analysis of the architecture of the convents of the barefoot Carmelites in Catalonia. From this research came her principal publications: La arquitectura en la congregación de los carmelitas descalzos (siglos XVI-XVIII) (2003), and El tracista fra Josep de la Concepció (1626-1690) (2004). She is also an author of various articles that analyze individual cases of artistic patronage in Catalonia in the 16th and 17th centuries, which is current focus of her research. She is a co-editor (with Sílvia Canalda and Joan Sureda) of the book Cartografías visuales y arquitectónicas de la modernidad. Siglos XV-XVIII (Barcelona: Publicacions i Edicions de la Universitat de Barcelona, 2011) and, along with Eva March, of Vidas de artistas y otras narrativas biográficas (Barcelona: Publicacions i Edicions de la Universitat de Barcelona, 2012). She was a member of the organizing committee of the 17th National Art History Congress (CEHA) celebrated in Barcelona in September of 2008.

She has been part of various research groups: Fuentes y modelos de las artes figurativas en Cataluña 1500-1640 (2000-2003), Art i religió: l’impacte de la Contrareforma a Catalunya en l’arquitectura i les arts visuals (2005-2007), Archivo crítico y analítico de las fuentes bibliográficas y documentales del arte en Cataluña en la época de los Austrias: 1516-1714 (ACAF/ART 1, 2006-2009) and Análisis crítico y fuentes de las cartografías del entorno visual y monumental del área mediterránea en época moderna (ACAF/ART 2, 2010-2012). Currently, she is the general coordinator of the research group Cartografías analíticas, críticas y selectivas del entorno visual y monumental del área mediterránea en la edad moderna (ACAF/ART 3), general coordinator of the magazine Acta/Artis. Estudis d’Art Modern and, since 2008, a member of the Centre d’Art d’Època Moderna de la Universitat de Lleida (CAEM).
